Graypants x Wick
Graypants, a lighting design studio, reached out to us to help launch their latest product offering. A modern take on the candle, Graypants wanted their Wick light to create a feeling of warmth, evocative of community and sharing.
To capture this vibe, we shot entirely at dusk. The soft glow of the Wick lamp as our only artificial light source, making it the highlight of every frame as it carved flickering shapes into the shadows.
To create a genuine feeling of connectedness, our approach was to be very observational, allowing organic moments to emerge naturally between real friends and family members.
Walt Whitman's "Miracles", performed by Seattle radio legend Riz Rollins provided the framework for all these disparate moments, melding everything together with poetic fluidity.
